HERES 5 GREAT REASONS The last bearings you will ever replace. Our bearing material is so superior to other Stainless alloys we guarantee it for life against corrosion.Reduced rolling resistance thanks to our C3 CLEARANCE SPECS.Exceeds your OEM requirements with ABEC 5 PRECISION.THE DIRT AND WATER STAYS OUT. Using premium Nitrile rubber seals with dual lip and steel inserts. Nothing gets in with our Low tension, maintenance free dust sealsTRUSTED BY DUCATI. This bearing is the identical version that Ducati Motors installs in their motorcycles. Our mission is to provide the industry of Powersports Bearings a premium quality product that out performs and outlasts the budget options on the market. The bearings we supply are only from industry leading Manufacturers located in Europe and Japan. Wheel Bearings do not wear out from the mechanical stresses imposed by normal use. Believe it or not, there is a very low demand placed on the wheel bearings of a motocross bike, ATV or Road applications. A typical wheel bearing is rated for 19,000 rpm and a load of 1574 pounds of force. At maximum rpm and maximum load, it should rotate for one million revolutions, which is over a thousand miles. At 60 mph, a 21-inch wheel (including the tire) is only spinning at 960 rpm. The same bearing is rated for a 30,000-pound load. We don’t have room for our math, which describes the free-falling mass of a bike and rider and the approximate time of deceleration with suspension, but suffice it to say that it would require a large rider and a very big jump or pothole to reach the load limit of the bearing. What does cause premature failure is when water and other contaminants are introduced inside the bearing causing corrosion and friction. This breaks down the high temperature and water resistant properties of the grease. Foreign bodies begin causing damaging abrasive wear such as pitting, spalling and rust to the bearing races and rollers. This combination of high friction and insufficient lubrication rapidly destroys the bearing. When a budget quality bearing is installed in an abusive environment such as powersports the failure rate is much higher due to low cost seals, lubricating grease, bearing cages and steel applied during manufacturing process What makes our bearings better than the Competition? *You get these premium characteristics with every product you install on your vehicle The bearing manufacturing starts with using 52100 High Carbon Chromium Alloy Races. Using the highest quality 52100 High Carbon Chromium Steel Alloy race material. There are many suppliers of 52100 material, but they do not all necessarily provide the same quality material. The material for the bearing races starts with and extremely-pure, vacuum de-gassed chromium steel alloy that is then hardened to Rockwell HRC 64 by multiple rounds of heat and cryogenic treatment. The material is then cut to size and the races are machined, ground and polished to a mirror finish for ABEC-% precision and noiseless movement. Grade 5 Chromium Steel Balls: High precision balls are within 5/1,000,000? round. These are military level specification, used for precision equipment. R-64 hardness, of the highest grade.Steel Ball or Nylon/Graphite Retainers: ABEC 5 bearings have either nylon/graphite retainers or new 1022 steel cages for improved strength. Depending on the usual duty for the specific bearing size, we now choose either 1022 steel or nylon/graphite to better suit the types of forces and duty the bearing most likely will handle. The ABEC 5 Rating: To meet the ABEC-5 standard, bearing design must pass all tests, which include noise testing at high RPM, extremely close tolerances for I.D. and O.D., roundness of ball, trueness of the races and micro surface finishes of balls and races. The C3 Clearance Rating: A C3 Rated bearing is a Sealed Deep Groove Radial Ball Bearing with a larger than standard radial internal clearance This allows for reduced rolling resistance. This specification describes the internal clearance between the bearing and its race. For example, in a 6203 bearing, our standard is 11-21 micrometers where as others use 11-25 micrometers. All across the board, our bearings have higher standards of tolerance to ensure superior performance. The Grease Type: ABEC 5 bearings are now using the improved formula of Mobil XHP 222 grease. The new formula performs better for all situations that we have ever tested. This includes protection against the elements of rain, dirt, muck, and sand over extended periods of testing, far outlasting previous greases we have tested. The new Mobil XHP 222 grease will not separate over time or with intense heat such as desert riding. It also can resist very low temperatures better than the competition such a snow or ice environments. Convinced Yet?Now that you’re educated on the differences between a “High Quality Bearing” and a “Budget Priced Bearing” the choice is up to you. Save a little extra money now and risk premature failure and breakdown or INVEST in a part that will last many seasons over. You don’t want to worry about your wheel bearings. You just want to go ride. Our mission is to ensure you only have to do the job once.
